I’m Jenna, the Education Lead at Rubrical, where I bridge the gap between educational practice and technology innovation. As the educational specialist on our Department for Education backed project, I ensure our AI-powered assessment tools are grounded in sound pedagogical principles and genuinely meet the needs of teachers and students.
My role involves translating classroom realities into effective technical solutions, working closely with Geography teachers to understand their assessment workflows and challenges. I bring educational expertise to our development team, ensuring that Rubrical delivers meaningful improvements to the assessment process while maintaining educational integrity.
My approach to educational technology centers on enhancing teaching practice rather than replacing it. I work to ensure our AI tools augment teachers’ professional capabilities while respecting their expertise and judgment. By focusing on SEND considerations, curriculum alignment, and differentiated feedback, I help create solutions that work for diverse student populations.
I’ve established connections with multiple schools to test and refine our assessment platform, gathering valuable insights that shape our development process. This collaborative approach ensures our tools genuinely reduce workload while improving feedback quality.
Outside of work, I find joy in travelling, gardening, the theatre as well as cherishing quality time with my family. I also love exploring the outdoors, through discovering new walking routes or venturing out on a run.
