By accessing or using Rubrical, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using Rubrical on behalf of an educational institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that institution to these Terms.

2.1 What Rubrical Provides

  • All student interactions are managed through teacher or institutional accounts

3.2 Eligibility Requirements

To use Rubrical, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Comply with all applicable laws and institutional policies

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Promptly notifying us of any unauthorised access or security breaches
  • Using strong passwords and enabling two-factor authentication when available

4. Acceptable Use Policy

When using Rubrical:

  • Maintain professional standards appropriate to your educational role
  • Respect student privacy and confidentiality
  • Use AI suggestions as assistance, not replacement for professional judgement

5. Educational Institution Responsibilities

5.1 Data Controller Obligations

Educational institutions using Rubrical acknowledge that they remain the data controller for student information and must:

  • Obtain necessary permissions for student data processing
  • Ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws
  • Maintain appropriate policies for educational technology use
  • Provide privacy notices to students and parents as required

5.2 Supervision and Training

Institutions are responsible for:

  • Training teachers on appropriate use of AI assessment tools
  • Supervising platform usage to ensure educational appropriateness
  • Implementing policies for AI-assisted assessment practices
  • Ensuring compliance with examination board and curriculum requirements

5.3 Student Safeguarding

Institutions must maintain their safeguarding obligations:

6. AI Services and Limitations

6.1 AI Assistance Nature

6.2 Accuracy Disclaimers

While we strive for high accuracy, we cannot guarantee that AI suggestions will be:

  • 100% accurate in all circumstances

  • Free from bias or cultural assumptions
  • Suitable as standalone assessment tools

6.3 Professional Responsibility

Teachers using Rubrical must:

7. Intellectual Property Rights

7.3 Third-Party Content

  • Curriculum standards and examination criteria remain the property of their respective owners

8. Integration Services

8.1 Google Classroom Integration

Our Google Classroom integration requires specific permissions to:

10. Payment Terms and Subscriptions

  • Access is subject to acceptance into our pilot programme
  • Terms may transition to commercial arrangements upon programme completion

10.2 Future Commercial Terms

When commercial services are introduced:

  • Payment terms will be specified in separate commercial agreements
  • Free trial periods may be offered to new users

11. Limitation of Liability
